The Sentinels of Rhythm play Rhythm and Blues the way it should be played - with a driving passion that will keep your feet tapping all night so make sure you bring your dancing shoes. The band is now big news on the swing and jive circuit and have played prestigious gigs all over the UK and Europe. The Sentinels of Rhythm is the brainchild of baritone sax ace Pete Cook. The music is inspired by the bands in which Pete has found himself over the last dozen or so years: Ray Gelato, Blue Harlem, Mike Sanchez, Big Boy Bloater. Pete had been wanting to start his own thing with hand-picked players for some time and when he met the handsome, charismatic singing pianist Michael Roberts teaching at a Berkshire college he knew the time was right. With Mike on board it was a simple matter of calling on his favourite players (who are all wonderful people too) and the Sentinels was born. This band is going places - make sure to catch them while you can!
