Procession Launching the Festival |

Local Schools will be working with puppeteers Liz Dorton, Liz Dees and Anna Ingleby (and assisted by musician Haviel Perdana) during 3 day residencies making puppets and putting together a showcase to be performed on stage at Longcroft School, followed by a procession through the town centre to launch the 4th Beverley Puppet Festival.
The Schools Showcase can be seen at Longcroft School at 1pm on Friday 9 July, followed by a procession from Longcroft School to Beverley Treasure House at approximately 2:20pm. Please note that the School Procession and Showcase are held the week before the main festival.

Azar is the king of the monkeys – the newly appointed guardian of the Rainbow Tree, which is the source of all life in the Rainbow Forest. Through Azar’s visionary dreams and the crazy adventures of Jack the treasure seeking adventurer, we learn about where he has come from and where he is going.

A story full of fantasy and adventure where facts, fun and wonderment have been neatly woven into an entertaining tale that shows us the amazing world of our Rainforests. A combination of delightful puppetry, original music and subtle lighting and sound effects.
