The BAT Cave at Beverley Folk Festival
Beverley Arts Trust are pleased to offer further assistance to the Beverley Folk Festival. We are hoping to run the BAT tent again in 2008 following the great success of last year where Larry and the rest of the BATs provided real ale and wine in a colourful, cosy and chilled out venue that added to the attractions offered by the Folk Festival.

Review by Sandman Magazine " Acting on a bar-room tip-off from a proud parent I decamped to a smaller tent not far from the leisure centre, wherin bottled beer was served to an audience sat on cloth covered bales of straw as they drank in the altogether more hearty folk ambience. This tent was the hunting ground of the new young folk artist. Soloists, groups and collectives took to the suggestion of a stage that occupied one corner of the tent and brought their talents to bear on my favourite find of the festival. In the two nights I spent ducking in and out of this particular tent, I was fortunate to see first of all Gazinty, a four piece from Hexham whose traditional stylings had already gained them some mileage in the BBC Young Folk Musician awards.....When Sandman does come back, we'll be settling down in the smaller tents for much of the weekend, though. We know where the treasure is, you see. " www.sandmanmagazine.co.uk
